Haka House Lake Tekapo

The female staff member who helped me at check-in was very kind! I stayed in a women-only dormitory. There was a luggage storage in the room, and it could be locked, but you need to bring your own lock. The shared bathroom was clean overall, although the trash can was often full of paper towels, probably because it was used a lot. There was one hair dryer, but I don't think there were any amenities (shampoo, etc.). I used the laundry, which cost 6 NZD per use. The dryer was the same price, and you could use the app or scan the QR code to use it. Detergent was not included, so you could bring your own or buy it at the reception. The kitchen was spacious and clean! There is a supermarket nearby, so you can cook or drink wine while looking out. You can go out to the lake side from the door on the kitchen side. The photo is of the hotel when I went out early in the morning. It was quite bright (lol) Staff are friendly and nice. Especially a staff member who I met at check-in:) The kitchen is clean and well equipped. I found it easy to see the lake from there and go out. Near the lake, a supermarket and church.
